Argan Oil, Illamasqua & Tangle Teezer Review

Hi all!

So, I haven't posted anything in agggeeessss! I know! But I'm going to try and actually stick with this now so if anyone wants any advice on anything beauty related or wants me to review anything, let me know! In the past few weeks I have purchased Illamasqua, Pure Pigment in FuroreArgan Oil and a Tangle Teezer!

I'll start first of all with the Argan Oil! I got this in Boots & it was less than €20 as far as I can remember. It lasts for AGES! I don't know what state my hair was in before this, I'll never look back, that's for sure! Anyone that knows me for a good few years knew my hair used to be quite frizzy, but not anymore!

The finishing result? Shiny & NOT frizzy! Whoop!! I also find if you leave your hair to dry naturally for about 15 minutes before hair drying it, it helps keep your hair frizz free!

Now, Illamasqua is a brand I heard quite a lot about but could never afford. I decided to splash out when I saw the pure pigment on sale on Debenhams.ie for €18, it's a highlighter for your face. It's a gorgeous colour, I've used it twice now and I don't think it's any better than products like moonbeam by Benefit or even anything by discount brands to be honest but that could be cause I'm still not 100% on how to use highlighters! The packaging is quite small for its price, here's what it looks like...

Apparently it can be used wet also, as an eyeshadow and to enhance lipsticks etc so I'll write more about this and attach some proper swatches when I experiment!

Last but not least is the Tangle Teezer. I've heard SO much about these so decided to get one with a One4All gift card I received for Christmas. It's meant to untangle your hair in a painless manner!

Sounds good, right? I find this works best when your hair is wet, I think my hair is too thick for it to work when it's dry. Overall, it's worth the investment if you find your hair tangles often, my hair doesn't have that problem unless its wet. Another major plus with this is that it is the PERFECT size to pop in your handbag! This is especially handy for nights out when your hair can act crazy after pulling some dance moves with your friends!

E.L.F Make-Up

Hello all... This is my first blog, I've wanted to do one for a while and finally decided to write one about E.L.F make-up as people seem wary of the products because they're so cheap. Here's a link to the website if you've never heard of it (: it delivers to Ireland & if you are a fan of their Facebook page, they put up statuses with codes such as 20% off etc.. Click Here...

Kay, so this is my 2nd order from E.L.F and the first thing I'll talk about is the Conditioning Lip Balm SPF15 in peaceful pink here... and this is €4.

This was new to the ELF website, and I heard great things about it so HAD to buy it! And I'm glad I did, it smells SO good, kind of a coconutty smell and it makes your lips amazingly soft. I always put it on before bed and wake up with non chapped lips woo (: thats not all thats great about this, the colour is a baby pink so gives your lips a tint of colour and I will definitely be buying this again!

Next thing is from the Studio section on the website, its a blush in the shade "Gotta Glow" and you can buy it here and its also €4. It has a light colour and I only really use it to highlight my cheekbones and my brow bone. It is quite powdery and you get a lot on your brush so you have to blow a bit off, but it lasts ages and gives a nice effect. (:

It comes in a nice, professional looking package, with a little mirror which is really handy! I use the studio complexion brush with the blushes and powders. Powder in porcelian -here. And the complexion brush -here. (:

My camera doesn't take the best quality photos but you can see its quite powdery but its totally worth buying for highlighing your face!

Next up are the duo eyeshadows and eyeshadow creams which are €1.75 which is pretty good value for such good eyeshadow! I wasn't expecting much when I ordered these but I was so happy, I ordered more. You can get these right here and here! The below shade is called "Black Liqourice"

Above is the duo eyeshadow which is a powder, matte effect, whatever you call it. (: I love this, it creates the perfect smokey eye and isn't too black at all! And for such a good price, I'll definitely be buying the other colours!
To the right is the eyeshadow duo cream. I only use this under the powder one above to help it stick, I've never worn cream eyeshadow on its own and am kind of scared to try it. It definitely helps the powder stay on for longer!

These are the swatches, I would have done them on my hand... But I wasn't bothered :P the top is the powder one and the bottom is the cream. The cream comes out a lot stronger but the top gives off a better smokey look.

Next are the eyeshadow duo and eyeshadow duo cream in "Butter Pecan".

Above: I really like this colour, I've been getting into my browns lately so thought I'd give this one a go. The brown is a really nice light chocolate brown and since I have brown eyes it suits me well!

To the left is the cream version, and again I only use this under the powder eyeshadow to help it stick but it is a gorgeous colour!

To the right are swatches, the colours on the top are the powder eyeshadow in "Butter Pecan" and the bottom are the cream ones. Again, the cream colours come out a lot better and the powder ones give a better smokey effect.

Next up is something I was really excited about getting and it gets compared to Benefits "Moonbeam" a lot which I also have, but it cost me €30 and the E.L.F Shimmer Pallette is €4 so I think I got a bargain here, because they are SO similar its unreal. Shimmer Pallette.

Above is the packaging which I said earlier, looks expensive and feels like I spent a fortune on it. I love how you can see whats inside without opening it! And of course the mirror....
To the right is whats inside, and yes I was poking at it quite a bit, I probably should have taken the photo when I first got it ha! It somes with a handy little brush.

Colours from left to right: white, nude, beige and pink. You can mix the colours and come up with lovely colours.
I use the white to brighten the inner corners of my eyes and I mix the pink & beige together to highlight my brow bone. (:

Below I'm going to post pictures of the other stuff I bought and I'll review it next time (: this is my first blog so if your reading this, let me know what you think. I just ordered more stuff so there'll be more photos next week. :P I'll write a bit about each thing under its photo!

This is the Clarifying Pressed Powder which I had to get because the studio powder I love was out of stock, this was €1.70 and I must say I am happy with it and I got two more of these for my friends Amy and Clare and Amy seems to love it. So, if your on a budget and can't afford the €4 for the Studio powder this is a great substitute.

This is the Complexion Brush which I use for powder, blush and bronzer. Its sooo soft.

I was dying to try this for ages, its the Studio Make-up Mist & Set. Basically, you spray it on your face after you apply your make-up and it helps keep it on all day. Its worked perfectly for me so far and lasts ages! This is only €4 too. (Most of the Studio stuff is €4).

"Hot Pink" nail varnish which is only 1.75! I'm wearing this colour in the photo, I'm happy with the colour but you DO have to apply it two or three times to get it that bright. It also tends to chip quite easily, but the selection of colours is great!

Tone Correcting Concealer in "Apricot" smells SO good. I can't stress how good this smells. It smells like strawberries or apricots, I can't really explain it. I really just buy it for the smell, its not the greatest concealer I've used but its okay for €1.75. Not in my top 5 favourites anyway.

False Lashes in "Dramatic" okay, I like this and I don't. Its €1.75 which is great for fake eyelashes! The only problem is the glue. Its the worst glue I've ever seen in my life, its lumpy and doesn't stick to the lash. The lashes on the other hand are amazing and I'm just going to have to use glue from another pack of lashes.

Minty Lipgloss in "Los Angeles". This is probably the only thing I've bought from E.L.F that I HATE. Its meant to make your lips tingle and freshen your breath but it tastes horrible and makes me feel so sick if i taste it. I'm not a big fan of mint so maybe its just me.... The colour isn't that amazing either.

Single Eyeshadow in "Coffee Bean". This package is so cute, its tiny! But you get loads of eyeshadow. Its about €4 and is a lovely colour! If you like your browns, you'll like this. If not, they have a good selection of colours on the website!

Thanks for reading! (: Til next time, bye bye. Xxxxxx
